Descrição:
Cyclooctene is a reactive organic compound that is used as a model system for studying redox reactions. It has been shown to be reactive with nitrogen atoms, and can be used in the preparation of sample solutions for surface methodology. Cyclooctene has also been shown to have a constant pressure behavior when reacting with chlorine gas at low temperatures. The reaction mechanism for cyclooctene oxidation is an electron transfer from the catalyst to the substrate. Cyclooctene undergoes coordination geometry changes during oxidation and reduction.
