The binding affinity of this compound is also high for the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR). This suggests that 4-Chloro-6,7-dimethoxyquinazoline may be an effective inhibitor of EGFR signaling pathways in epithelial cancers and other cancers that rely on these pathways for survival.
