Informação sobre produto
- 5-Chloro-2-Methylquinoline
5-Chloro-2-methyl-quinoline is a molecule that irreversibly inhibits cancer cell growth. It has potent anticancer effects and shows activity against human leukemia HL60 cells as well as lemongrass oil, which is an antimicrobial agent. 5-Chloro-2-methyl-quinoline also shows redox potentials that are similar to those of the amino acid methionine and can be degraded by protein synthesis. This molecule also participates in signal pathways such as the MAP kinase pathway, which may lead to its anticancer effects. 5-Chloro-2-methyl-quinoline can undergo Friedel-Crafts reactions with a number of organic compounds, including benzene and acetic anhydride to form 2,4,5-trichlorobenzophenone or chloropicrin.
