3-Chloro-4-(3-fluorobenzyloxy)aniline is a potent inhibitor of the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR), which is a tyrosine kinase that plays an important role in the initiation and progression of cancer. The compound has been shown to inhibit the proliferation of human cancer cell lines, such as breast cancer and prostate cancer, by blocking EGFR signaling. 3-Chloro-4-(3-fluorobenzyloxy)aniline also inhibits the activity of other kinases, such as lapatinib and 2-amino-4-fluorobenzoic acid. This inhibition may be due to its ability to bind to the ATP binding site on these enzymes.
