4-Chloro-3-(trifluoromethyl)phenylboronic acid is a chemical compound with the molecular formula CHBrClF. It is used in organic chemistry as a reagent for the conversion of alcohols to esters, amides, and nitriles. The compound is a precursor to other boronic acids. 4-Chloro-3-(trifluoromethyl)phenylboronic acid can be synthesized by reacting phenyliodine(III) chloride with dichloromethane in presence of triethylamine.
