Informação sobre produto
Chroman-4-One Oxime is an oxime derivative that has shown antibacterial activity against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). It is synthesized by the reaction of dimethylformamide with tosylates, followed by acidic alkylation. The molecule has the following functional groups: an oxime group, a methyl group, and a carbonyl group. Chroman-4-One Oxime binds to the bacterial ribosome and prevents protein synthesis through inhibition of aminoacyl tRNA binding. This leads to cell death due to lack of proteins necessary for cell division.
