4-Chloro-4'-fluorochalcone is a crystalline compound that belongs to the group of benzene derivatives. It has been synthesized from chlorophenyl and 4-chloro-4'-fluoroaniline. The molecular structure of this compound consists of a benzene ring with a fluorine atom at position 4, followed by two hydroxy groups at positions 3 and 5. This molecule has been observed in the crystal x-ray diffraction pattern as having an orthorhombic crystal system, space group Pna21, with lattice parameters a = 14.928(2) Å, b = 12.835(2) Å, c = 16.095(3) Å, α = 90°, β = 120° and γ = 90°.
