5-(4-Chlorophenyl)-1H-pyrazole is a photoactive compound that is a triplet sensitizer. It has two different orientations, which are determined by the dihedral angle. One orientation is a planar molecule with a triplet excited state and the other is an eclipsed conformation with two double bonds. 5-(4-Chlorophenyl)-1H-pyrazole has been shown to be an effective photosensitizer for the treatment of some bacterial infections.
