Informação sobre produto
2-Chloro-N-(4-fluorophenyl)acetamide (2CFA) is an anti-mycobacterial agent that inhibits the growth of mycobacteria by inhibiting the synthesis of cell wall. 2CFA has been shown to have a higher activity against Mycobacterium tuberculosis than against Mycobacterium avium complex and may be used for the treatment of tuberculosis. This drug is a prodrug that needs to be activated by conjugation with procaine or amide, which are bioactive molecules. 2CFA also has antiarrhythmic effects, which is due to its ability to inhibit potassium channels and prolong repolarization.
