Carbazole-9-carbonyl chloride is a hydrochloride salt that has been used as an acid catalyst in vitro. It has been shown to have low detection limits in human serum, and it can be detected in diabetic patients. Carbazole-9-carbonyl chloride is synthesized by the reaction of hydroxyl group and methyl ethyl chloride. It also reacts with histidine to form an amide bond.
