4-Chloro-5-fluorobenzene-1,2-diamine is a chemical compound with the molecular formula of C8H6ClFN. It has a molecular weight of 179.14 g/mol and a density of 1.725 g/cm3. 4-Chloro-5-fluorobenzene-1,2-diamine has been shown to have a high frequency of human activity using a patch clamp technique on human erythrocytes and also inhibits bacterial growth by binding to DNA dependent RNA polymerase, thereby preventing transcription and replication. The active form is metabolized through a number of metabolic transformations such as hydrolysis by esterases or glucuronidases, oxidation by cytochrome P450 enzymes, reduction by glutathione reductase, or conjugation with glucuronic acid.
