Methyl 5-chlorosalicylate is a chemical compound with the molecular formula CHClO. It is a colorless liquid that has a minty odor. Methyl 5-chlorosalicylate is used in organic chemistry as an intermediate to synthesize other compounds, and it can be used in the synthesis of β-cell receptor antagonists.
