Informação sobre produto
- 4-Chloro-2-hydroxymethylpyridine
- (4-Chloro-2-pyridinyl) methanol
- (4-Chloro-Pyridin-2-Yl)-Methanol
4-Chloro-2-pyridinemethanol is a synthetic compound that has a skeleton structure similar to that of pyridine. It is used as an acetylating agent and an optical modifier. 4-Chloro-2-pyridinemethanol can be used as a drug target for the treatment of sarcoma viral oncogene, nerve damage, and sciatic pain. The protonated form of 4-chloro-2-pyridinemethanol is not stable and undergoes dehydrogenation reactions with electron donors such as NAD+ or NADP+. This reaction generates the corresponding alcohol and oxidized form of 4-chloro-2-pyridinemethanol. The kinetic properties of this reaction are dependent on the concentration of the reactants.
