4-Chloro-7-Fluoroquinoline is a nucleophilic quinoline derivative that has been used as an antitumor drug. The synthesis of 4-chloro-7-fluoroquinoline begins with malonate, which reacts with ethoxymethylenemalonate in the presence of fluoride to form a fluorinated quinoline. The reaction product is then reacted with 1,2,4-triazole to produce the final product.
