2-(2-Chloro-4-Fluorophenoxy)Propanoic Acid is a quinoxaline derivative that has shown activity in experimental models of leukemias, inflammatory diseases and autoimmune disorders. It inhibits the dehydrogenase enzyme that converts dihydroorotate to orotic acid and other related compounds, which are required for the synthesis of pyrimidines. This drug also inhibits the dihydroorotate dehydrogenase enzyme, which converts dihydroorotate to orotic acid. 2-(2-Chloro-4-Fluorophenoxy)Propanoic Acid has been shown to be active against sarcomas and some types of cancer such as breast cancer.
