It is one of the chalcones and it has analgesic activity. 7-Chloro-6-Fluoro-2-Hydrazino-1,3-Benzothiazole is soluble in ethanol, acetone and ether and insoluble in water. It can be reduced with catalytic hydrogenation or with sodium borohydride under acidic conditions. 7CHFHBT can be denatured by heating with ethanol or by treatment with thiocyanate ions. 7CHFHBT has been shown to have anti oxidant activity in a number of experiments using various methods of analysis such as elemental analysis and denaturation studies.
