1-Bromocyclohexanecarboxylic acid is a member of the class of organic compounds known as carboxylic acids. It is an oxygenated compound that contains the carboxyl group (-COOH). It has been used to synthesize a number of other organic compounds. 1-Bromocyclohexanecarboxylic acid also reacts with metal salt to form phosphine, which can be used as a reducing agent in organic reactions. Hydrocarbon groups are added by diisocyanate, which react with hydrocarbon catalytically to produce benzene. This reaction can be used for analgesic or carbamate production.
