2,2-Dimethyl-1,3-dioxolane-4-carboxaldehyde is a chemical compound that is an enantiopure chlorinating agent. It is used in the synthesis of medicines and other organic compounds. This chemical compound has been shown to have antimicrobial properties and can be used to create antibiotics such as eperezolid. 2,2-Dimethyl-1,3-dioxolane-4-carboxaldehyde is also used in the synthesis of amides and other organic compounds.
