• Descrição: Des-Tyr1-Leu-Enkephalin H-Gly-Gly-Phe-Leu-OH is a synthetic opioid peptide that acts as a neuroprotective agent and has been shown to enhance the expression of nerve growth factor. It also has immunomodulatory effects by interacting with opioid receptors and regulating the production of inflammatory cytokines. Des-Tyr1-Leu-Enkephalin H-Gly-Gly-Phe-Leu-OH binds to opioid receptors in the central nervous system, thereby triggering a response that leads to pain relief and suppression of cough reflexes. This peptide has been shown to be effective in clinical trials for patients with neuropathic pain or postoperative ileus.
