Informação sobre produto
Imatinib is a small molecule that inhibits the tyrosine kinase activity of the BCR-ABL protein. It is used in the treatment of chronic lymphocytic leukemia and certain types of cancers, such as skin cancer, chronic myelogenous leukemia, or gastrointestinal stromal tumors. Imatinib has been shown to inhibit the growth of tumor cells by blocking the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) and blocking the activation of mitogen-activated protein kinases (MAPK). Imatinib also has anti-inflammatory effects by binding to all-trans-retinoic acid and inhibiting its conversion to retinol.
