Dodecanohydrazide has also been shown to inhibit the production of fatty acids and prostaglandins, which are molecules that cause inflammation. The mechanism of action for dodecanohydrazide is not yet known, but it may be due to its ability to inhibit hydroxyl groups and hydrogen bonding interactions, or its ability to form amides with quinoline derivatives.
