3,4-Dichloro-1,2,5-thiadiazole is an organic compound that contains a chlorine atom. It is a colorless solid that has a sulfur-like odor. 3,4-Dichloro-1,2,5-thiadiazole has been shown to have transport properties in fatty acid and chloride ions. This compound was also found to be capable of activating the synthesis of lipase and enhancing the breakdown of triglycerides in the body. 3,4-Dichloro-1,2,5-thiadiazole has been used as a synthetic intermediate for the synthesis of other chemicals and it can be metabolized through oxidation or reduction.
