6,7-dihydro-5H-indeno[5,6-d][1,3]dioxol-6-amine is an immunosuppressive drug that has been shown to inhibit the proliferation of T cells and decrease production of cytokines. It is a dopamine receptor agonist and has been shown to have cytosolic calcium modulating properties. This drug binds to the dopamine receptor in the striatum and modulates locomotor activity. 6,7-Dihydro-5H-indeno[5,6-d][1,3]dioxol-6-amine has also been shown to have pharmacokinetic properties that are dependent on the matrix effect. 6,7-Dihydro-5H-indeno[5,6-d][1,3]dioxol-6-[a]mine is currently being used in research as a PDL1 probe for optical sensor analysis.
