3,6-Dichloropyridazine-4-carboxylic acid is a compound that has been shown to have immunosuppressive properties. This molecule is able to inhibit the function of virus by inhibiting the production of proteins vital for cell division and also inhibits the synthesis of antibodies. 3,6-Dichloropyridazine-4-carboxylic acid was originally developed as a drug for the treatment of AIDS, but it was never marketed. This molecule has also been shown to have antiviral activity against HIV and influenza A virus and may be useful in treating other immunodeficiency diseases.
