Dodecyl carbonochloridate is an inhibitor of pancreatic lipase. The carbonyl group and the chloride are the functional groups found in this molecule. Dodecyl carbonochloridate is a chiral compound, but it does not have any stereoisomers. It is insoluble in water and soluble in organic solvents. This compound has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis, which may be due to its ability to inhibit the production of inflammatory compounds by blocking cyclooxygenase enzymes.
