- 5,7-Dichloro-7aH-indole
5,7-Dichloroindole is a synthetic chemical that has been used in the Buchwald-Hartwig cross-coupling reaction. It is generated by chlorination of an alkenyl or suzuki compound. The reaction proceeds via a chlorine atom transfer to the alkenyl or suzuki compound, which reacts with an amine to form the 5,7-dichloroindole product. The synthesis of this compound requires high temperatures and pressures and is therefore not cost effective for industrial use.
