3,4-Dihydro-5-methoxy-2H-1-benzopyran-3-amine is a chiral compound that has been shown to interact with the melatonin receptor and dopamine receptor. It has also been shown to be a ligand for the melatonin receptor, and can be used as an antagonist of the dopamine receptor. The chemical synthesis of 3,4-dihydro-5-methoxy-2H-1 benzopyran-3 amine is done using chromatographic techniques to separate it from other compounds. This compound can also be found in membranes, where it interacts with melatonin receptors. The affinity of this compound for the melatonin receptors and its interaction with dopamine receptors have not yet been examined.
