Descrição

1,3-Dicaffeoylquinic acid is a bioactive phenolic compound that has been shown to inhibit the activity of drug transporter proteins in vitro. It also inhibits the activity of matrix metalloproteinases and proinflammatory cytokines such as IL-1β and TNF-α in vitro studies. 1,3-Dicaffeoylquinic acid has also been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties by inhibiting the production of reactive oxygen species and cytokines in vivo. This compound was found to inhibit the enzyme activities of 4-hydroxycinnamic acid, benzalkonium chloride, high-purity steviol glycosides, chlorogenic acids, p-hydroxybenzoic acid, and other complex enzymes. 1,3-Dicaffeoylquinic acid also has a favorable safety profile due to its low toxicity and lack of genotoxicity or mutagenicity.
