1,6-Dinonyl hexanedioate is a fatty acid with a polyvinyl chloride backbone. It is a corrosion inhibitor, which means that it prevents the metal from corroding or rusting. This product also has antioxidative properties, meaning that it helps protect other materials from oxidation. 1,6-Dinonyl hexanedioate is biodegradable and can be made using renewable resources such as corn oil.
