Descrição:1,2-Decanediol is a colorless liquid with a pleasant odor. It is soluble in water and insoluble in ethanol. 1,2-Decanediol is an aromatic hydrocarbon with a fatty acid residue. The hydroxyl group of the molecule reacts with benzalkonium chloride to form a dibenzyl ether. It has been shown that 1,2-decanediol can be used as an intermediate for the synthesis of β-unsaturated ketones or fatty acids. This compound also reacts with methyl glycine to produce solubility data constant pressure growth factor natural compounds and iron oxides.
