Informação sobre produto
Dotinurad is a uric acid analog that inhibits the enzyme xanthine oxidase, which catalyzes the oxidation of hypoxanthine to xanthine. It is used in patients with chronic kidney disease who are at risk for urate-related complications. The drug is administered intravenously and has been shown to bind to proximal tubular cells at high concentrations. The pharmacodynamics of dotinurad involve inhibition of uric acid formation, which leads to a decrease in the concentration of urate in blood plasma. This decrease leads to improved renal function and fewer adverse effects. There are no known drug interactions with this medication.
