Dehydro isradipine is a high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) method for the analysis of isradipine. It was developed as an alternative to the standard reversed-phase HPLC method. The HPLC method has been validated and found to be superior in terms of sensitivity, linearity, and capability for quantification. Dehydro isradipine can be analyzed by reversed-phase or liquid chromatography methods. Dehydro isradipine inhibits cytochrome P450 enzymes, which are involved in the metabolism of many drugs, thus affecting their efficacy. This inhibition may lead to adverse drug reactions or reduced therapeutic effect.
