• Descrição: 1,2-Dilinoleoyl-3-oleoyl-rac-glycerol (DLOG) is a fatty acid that is used to diagnose and treat tumors. DLOG can be administered intravenously or intraperitoneally as an anti-tumor agent. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of cancer cells in tissue culture and to protect heart function. DLOG also has transport properties that enable it to be used as a nutrient solution for cell culture or as a phase liquid chromatography eluent. DLOG is an enzyme catalyst that activates reactions involving fatty acids and other lipids. It also binds to blood group antigens and fluoresces under UV light, which allows it to be used as a fluorescent probe in diagnostic assays.
