1,2-Dilinoleoylglycerol is a lipid that is synthesized through the phosphatidylcholine pathway. It is involved in the biosynthesis of fatty acids and diacylglycerols. 1,2-Dilinoleoylglycerol has been shown to inhibit pancreatic lipase activity, which may contribute to its role in pancreatitis. This lipid also has chemiluminescence properties, which are used in clinical chemistry to measure serum triglyceride levels.
