Descrição

Doramectin is an anthelmintic drug, used in the treatment of parasites. It has a concentration-time curve that can be determined by measuring the response of diptera larvae to different concentrations of the drug. The optimum concentration for doramectin is 1.5 μg/mL with a 99% confidence level. The drug is typically administered orally in a dosage range of 0.1 to 1 mg/kg body weight and may be given once or twice per day for up to 28 days. Doramectin has been shown to have toxic effects on glucose metabolism and may cause metabolic disorders at high doses, such as in the case of people with pre-existing diabetes mellitus or impaired renal function.
