1-(2,5-Dimethyl-3-furyl)ethan-1-one is a cyclic ketone that is expressed as a colorless liquid. It has a boiling point of 176°C and can be used as an additive in the production of sodium salts. The molecule has been shown to have an alicyclic structure with three rings, which are connected by one carbon atom each.
