Dane Salt is a wastewater treatment chemical that is used as an alternative to trifluoroacetic acid. It is a salt of hydrochloric acid and dane, which is an acidic, aromatic hydrocarbon. Dane Salt is typically synthesized through the liquid chromatography method in which the hydroxide solution reacts with the amoxicillin sodium in the presence of n-dimethyl formamide to produce acylation reaction. The isolated yield was determined to be 68%.
