2,3-Dichloro-5-trifluoromethylpyridine is a nonpolar organic compound that is synthesized from hydrogen fluoride and chloride. It has been shown to be an effective solvent for many compounds. 2,3-Dichloro-5-trifluoromethylpyridine reacts with the ester hydrochloride of sodium carbonate to form a salt.
