2,2'-Difluorodiphenyl disulfide is a biomolecular additive that can be used in the production of diazo compounds. It is an effective reductive agent for the removal of oxygen from diazo compounds. 2,2'-Difluorodiphenyl disulfide also has a catalytic effect on the conversion of diazo compounds to their corresponding sulfides and produces disulfides without the need for additional reagents, making it a reusable and sustainable chemical.
