Informação sobre produto
Dimethyl isopropylmalonate (DIM) is an organic compound that reacts with chlorine to produce the reaction product of dimethylchloro malonate. This compound is used as a bulk industrial chemical and in the production of other chemicals and plastics. DIM can be produced by reacting magnesium with inorganic or organic solvents, which produces a high yield of DIM. This compound hydrolyzes easily and has a molecule weight of 156.27 g/mol. DIM has a bulk density of 1.5 g/cm3 and can be made into sodium salt crystals. The crystalline form has a melting point of 146-147°C, boiling point at 280-281°C, and flashpoint at 104°C. DIM is also used as a solid catalyst for organic reactions such as oxidation reactions in the presence of air or oxygen under pressure.
