Descrição:2,4-Dichloro-8-fluoroquinazoline (2,4-DFQ) is a potent inhibitor of the enzyme acetylcholinesterase. It has been used in animal studies to investigate the role of acetylcholine in the regulation of gastric acid secretion and motility. 2,4-DFQ inhibits the activity of this enzyme by covalent modification. This drug also has an oxidative decarboxylation and hydrolysis mechanism that leads to its degradation.
