D-tartaric acid is a chiral bioactive molecule that can be used for the treatment of hepatitis. It has been shown to inhibit the enzymatic activity of hplc methods, which are responsible for the synthesis of amines. D-tartaric acid has also been shown to have an effect on the liver function, and an optimal reaction time has been determined using hydrogen bonding interactions. This compound may be used as a pharmacophore in drug design and functional studies.
