Descrição:Doxorubicinol citrate is a doxorubicin prodrug that is used in the treatment of acute myeloid leukemia, lymphomas, and solid tumors. It is metabolized to doxorubicin, which binds to DNA and inhibits RNA synthesis. The drug also induces apoptosis through the activation of caspase-3 enzyme. Doxorubicinol citrate has shown good solubility, stability, and low toxicity. It can be reconstituted with trichloroacetic acid or zinc sulfate and diluted with water for injection. The reconstituted solution should be protected from light and kept at 4°C until use.
