Diosbulbin B is a polysaccharide that has been shown to inhibit the production of reactive oxygen species, which are produced by the mitochondrial respiratory chain. It also inhibits the production of reactive oxygen species in vivo in a mouse model. Diosbulbin B has been shown to have significant cytotoxicity against skin cancer cells and is active against human breast adenocarcinoma cells. However, it does not have any effect on normal fibroblasts or keratinocytes. This compound can be used as an analytical method for measuring the concentration of diosbulbin in biological samples using LC-MS/MS methods.
