Descrição:Deapioplatycodin D is a natural product that has been shown to have cytotoxic and anti-inflammatory activities. It inhibits the growth of replicon cells and squamous carcinoma cells, which may be due to its ability to induce apoptosis. Deapoplatycodin D also inhibits the expression of survivin, a protein that protects cancer cells from undergoing apoptosis. This compound may also be neuroprotective as it has been shown to inhibit the release of glutamate in a fetal bovine brain cell culture model. Deapoplatycodin D is found in plants such as Pterocarpus marsupium and Protocatechuic acid is one of its major components.
