Dihydrolycorine is a natural compound that has been shown to increase the energy metabolism in tissue culture. This compound has been shown to inhibit mitochondrial membrane potential and creatine kinase, as well as the activities of enzymes such as papillary muscle, diastolic pressure, and hydrochloric acid. Dihydrolycorine also inhibits the activity of haemanthamine and trifluoroacetic acid.
