2,2-Difluorosuccinic acid is an organic compound that has a molecular weight of 190.10 g/mol and a chemical formula of CHFOSOH. The activation energy for the reaction between hydrogen fluoride and 2,2-difluorosuccinic acid is estimated to be 49.6 kJ/mol. The transport properties of this compound are not well understood due to its high solubility in water. The activation energies for the reactions between 2,2-difluorosuccinic acid and vitamin D3 and fluorine are estimated to be 50.8 kJ/mol and 57.1 kJ/mol, respectively. This molecule can exist as either an ionic or neutral form but it is more commonly found in its ionic form due to protonation from water molecules. 2,2-Difluorosuccinic acid has been shown to have promising results in the encapsulation of drugs with a monolayer by using
