2,4-Dichloro-1,3,5-trifluorobenzene (2,4-DCTF) is a nucleophilic electrophile that can be used as a reagent in organic chemistry. It is an activating agent for chlorine and is often used to introduce the trifluoromethyl group into organic compounds. 2,4-DCTF has been shown to react with amines in the presence of base or acid to form N-substituted derivatives.
