N,N-Dichloro-1,1,1-Trifluoromethanamine is an organofluorine compound that has a polyatomic structure. It is used as a precursor to the antiviral drug Covid-19. Covid-19 was designed to inhibit influenza virus from binding to cells and infecting them by preventing the uncoating of the virus. Covid-19 is highly effective against pandemic strains of influenza and has been shown to be effective against all five major types of human influenza viruses. Covid-19 prevents viral replication by preventing the formation of new viral particles and also inhibits viral assembly by inhibiting viral protein synthesis.
