• Descrição: 4,5-Dichloro-2-(2-Chloro-6-Fluorobenzyl)-3(2H)-Pyridazinone (4,5DCFP) is a heterocyclic compound that is used as an inhibitor of pyrazoloquinoline quinone reductase (PQQR), an enzyme involved in the biosynthesis of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD). The 4,5DCFP inhibits PQQR by competing with the substrate pyridoxal phosphate. This inhibition prevents the conversion of nicotinamide to NAD and thereby prevents the synthesis of ATP. As a result, 4,5DCFP is used as a medicament for cancer treatment.
